We also offer a welcome meet and technical evening and support in a private social media group where you can get to know others in the team!

Tips and advice to get you ready for race day

We offer our team of runners meet and greet and technical evenings with members of our fundraising team and the local running community –  our fundraisers are armed with loads of advice to max out your fundraising potential, plus advice from running experts who will ensure you reach the start line in tip top condition!

A Race Day Cheer Squad

There are various Hospice UK cheer points along the route – look out for us at one of these on race day! We let our runners know ahead of race day where we will be and will be sure to shout lots of encouragement to you as you go by. Friends and family are welcome to join us at the cheer points too.

You are also invited to a post-race reception at a Hospice UK hospitality venue after your race to refuel and rejuvenate – there you can take advantage of a massage to help your aching muscles and grab a bite to eat. Friends and family are also welcome to join you at the hospitality venue for a hot drink.

How much do I need to fundraise?

Our successful Golden Bond applicants will commit to fundraising a minimum target of £2000.

We know it can be daunting but we will be with you every step of the way to ensure you reach this target and beyond!

Setting up a fundraising page is very easy – we prefer to use JustGiving as our online platform as more of the money comes to us! We have a dedicated London Marathon JustGiving campaign (please use the buttons on this page to go there) it only takes a couple of minutes to set up, and a share to social media is worth an average of £24!

I’ve got a Public Ballot place – can I still fundraise for Cornwall Hospice Care?

Yes! We welcome ‘own place’ runners each year and you will receive the same perks as our Golden Bond applicants, including one of our vibrant running vests – plus you have the added bonus of setting your own fundraising target!

Please email Jane if you have been lucky enough to secure a place in the Public Ballot and let her know you wish to run for us. She will be add you to the Team and get in touch regarding your running vest and any support you may need.
