Your Saint’s Way Trek adventure awaits – Join us for either 2 days of walking and camping, 1 full day of trekking 30 miles coast to coast, or take on the Saints Way Half which is 13.5 miles across Cornwall!
Your two day adventure starts on Saturday morning at Padstow Church, where you will embark upon the first leg of your journey. As you leave Padstow you will be treated to spectacular views back across the famous harbour town, before making your way towards St. Breock and the ancient monolithic landmark on the downs.
The first day of trekking ends at the 16.5 mile mark, where we will set up camp at Mena Farm Campsite with it’s idyllic wild meadows. With it being the summer solstice we are guaranteed a beautiful evening around the fire pit.
Sunday morning takes you to the windswept heights of Helman Tor, where you can view the north and south coasts of our beautiful county. As you head down towards Golant, the banks of the river Fowey will lead you to the finish of the iconic Saint’s Way at Readymoney Cove in Fowey, where a medal will be waiting for you!
For the first time ever, we are offering The Saints Way Trek as a 1 day through-trek ultra challenge!
You’ll start bright and early on Saturday morning at Padstow Church where you will begin your 30 mile adventure. You will enjoy stunning coastal views as you make your way towards the historic site of St Breock. From there you will journey towards Withiel, on to Lanivet, and up to the vistas of Helman Tor which showcase views of both south and north coasts.
The lovely creek-side village of Golant will be your next stop with Fowey River leading you to your final destination of Readymoney Cove in beautiful Fowey where you will receive your well earned medal and finally rest those feet! What a way to celebrate the summer solstice.
If you don’t fancy the full 30 miles, then why not take on The Saint’s Way Half and walk the second part of the ancient 13.5 mile route.
Start your journey on Sunday morning in the lovely village of Lanivet and make your way towards rugged Helman Tor with it’s windswept heights. The next part of your challenge takes you past rolling farmland and on towards the idyllic village of Golant where you meet the River Fowey and journey through ancient woods and secluded valleys ending in Fowey where your medal and a warm welcome will be found at Readymoney Cove.
No matter which challenge you take on, the trek is fully supported, meaning we are there with you every step of the way. The One-day and Two-Day trekkers will meet us at our Cornwall Hospice Care furniture store in St. Austell to register. You can park your car for the duration of your challenge and catch our shuttle bus to the start line in Padstow. All campers will leave overnight bags and tents with us and they will be waiting for you at the campsite on Saturday afternoon, so you can focus on the walk and enjoying yourself as you cross the iconic Saint’s Way.
Food, water, and snacks will be provided to all at various checkpoints throughout the route. When the Through-trekkers reach Readymoney Cove on Saturday we will shuttle your tired legs back to our car park in St Austell to collect your vehicle.
Mena Farm Campsite have a fantastic selection of food vans who visit the site, or nearby in the local village, Lanivet are the delights of Welcome Stranger fish & chip shop and Lanivet Inn pub both providing delicious food to eat in or takeaway– so if you are camping with us you have all the means to purchase a well deserved evening meal on Saturday night before you get some shut eye. Enjoying dinner together around the campfire on the Saturday evening is a great way to cement new friendships, whilst sharing stories and memories.
Breakfast will be provided for all campers on Sunday morning before setting off for the second day of trekking.
Our Saints Way Half entrants will meet us at our Cornwall Hospice Care furniture store in St. Austell to park your car and catch the shuttle bus to the start point in Lanivet. You will enjoy the same checkpoints as our Two-day trekkers which includes lunch (provided) near Lostwithiel.
All finishers will receive a medal at the finish line at Readymoney Cove, and will be shuttled back to the car park in St Austell.
You can view our Saint’s Way Trek route in detail on our Strava Route Map here!
Of course you can! Choose an option to suit you but note that the through-trek will require training and a good level of fitness. The Saints Way Trek is a wonderful adventure where you get to share an experience, explore the wilds of Cornwall, and do something amazing for Cornwall Hospice Care. You’ll be enjoying an ice cream at Readymoney Cove in Fowey before you know it!
This event is organised by Cornwall Hospice Care, to fund the care we provide at our two Cornish hospices in Hayle and St Austell. We also work in local communities providing support and comfort to those dealing with terminal illnesses, so your fundraising really will make a difference to people’s lives, making precious moments matter. Find out more about the care we provide here.
You’ll be surprised how quickly you can reach your fundraising target and beyond with simply the generosity of friends and family on JustGiving!

We also have Sponsor Forms you can download and print, if you prefer a more traditional method to collect your sponsorship.

What is the minimum sponsorship amount?
If you have chosen the fundraising option then we ask for a minimum fundraising target of £250 for the Classic Two-Day Trek or One-Day Through Trek. For The Saints Way Half we ask for a minimum fundraising target of £175. Your ticket price covers the cost of the event, so it is this sponsorship which helps to raise the much needed funds for our two Cornish hospices.
If you choose the own-target option for adults, there is no minimum target sponsorship, but we will support you to fundraise what you can, which will help to support our Cornish charity. There is not a set target for the Child ticket options, but again we would encourage you to set up a fundraising page.
How can you help me to meet my fundraising target?
Fundraising can seem like a daunting task, but once you tell your friends and family what you are doing, you’ll be surprised how keen they are to show their support to you and donate to the cause. Simply sharing your JustGiving page to social media can be a super effective way of fundraising.
If you are struggling, get in touch with our team. We have a dedicated team of fundraisers on hand to support you and give advice on any fundraising events you might want to do. Our Event Team will check in with fundraisers regularly to make sure everything is going well. We have lots of ideas to support your fundraising from quiz nights, bake sales to duck races and raffles – there are plenty of simple yet effective ways people have raised their Saint’s Way Trek sponsorship in previous years. Get in touch to see how we can help.
Can I just do a section of The Saint’s Way Trek route?
If the full 30 miles isn’t for you, you can sign up to The Saints Way Half which will take place on day two – Sunday 22nd June – the shortened version of the route is 13.5 miles. If you are signed up the full 2 days but feel at any point that you need to stop then just contact our Event Team and we will arrange for you to be picked up. If you were due to be camping then not to worry – you are very welcome to still join us at the campsite for a great evening around the fire pit.
Is there an age limit for The Saint’s Way Trek?
There is no age limit to take part in our Saint’s Way Trek challenge – you know your children best and if you think they are up to the challenge, then we would love for you to join us as a family! We’ve had a number of children join us before who’ve had a great time. All under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.
Is The Saint’s Way Trek a competition?
The Saint’s Way Trek is not a race, we will not be timing you but there will be a cut off of 10.5 hours for anyone choosing to do the One-Day Through Trek. Everyone who completes the challenge will get a lovely finisher’s medal!
Do I have to camp on the Saint’s Way Two-Day Trek?
Camping is optional (although it is included in your Saint’s Way Two-Day Trek ticket price). However, if you wish to go home and spend the night in your own bed then you will need to organise pick-up and drop off to and from the site.
It is also important to note that Mena Farm Campsite’s Wild Meadows are for tents only, if you wish to take a motorhome or book one of their glamping pods, then this will need to be organised with them & paid for separately.
Can I set my own pace for the Saint’s Way Trek?
Yes! We don’t expect everyone to be walking in one big group, there will be checkpoints with water and food en route to sign in and out of, so feel free to set your own pace.
If you don’t trust yourself to follow the provided route guide and would prefer to walk in a supervised group, we will have volunteer Saint’s Way Trek guides you can walk with.
