Our Care of the Dying Patient course addresses identifying the five priorities for care and recognising how those five priorities for care support the provision of dignity, comfort, sensitive communication and compassionate care in the last days of life.
It is aimed at all health and social care staff caring for people in the last days and hours of life.
This 3 hour Care of the Dying Patient session will cover an overview of:
- Recognising the dying patient
- Sensitive communication
- Common symptoms in the last days of life
- Symptom management and care planning
A certificate will be awarded upon completion of the session.
