Participants on our 3 hour training session will learn about understanding the principles and process of Advance Care Planning (ACP) including:
- Identify the benefits of Advance Care Planning to patients, family, professionals and carers
- Developing effective communication skills
- Awareness of the barriers to Advance Care Planning
- Understanding the implications of the Mental Capacity Act
- Awareness of local resources to support individuals in the ACP planning process
- Understanding of own role involvement and that of the multidisciplinary team, family and carers
Course cost includes refreshments.
This training session counts towards your continuous professional development and a certificate will be issued on completion.
