The fundraising team at Cornwall Hospice Care have launched the charity’s 2023 Open Gardens scheme. The initiative has been running for 13 years and during this time generous garden owners across Cornwall have helped raise over £102,000 to help fund the care at Mount Edgcumbe Hospice in St Austell and St Julia’s Hospice in Hayle.
This year the Open Gardens offer riverside settings, woodland, sculptures, orchards and a variety of shrubbery, plants and trees.
Many of the generous owners are also offering visitors the chance to have relaxing refreshments in private settings. The events, some being run by the charity’s Fundraising Groups, are across Cornwall from Antony Garden in the south-east to Trereife House near Penzance.
