An Easter message from our Executive Team on Thursday 28th March 2024

Dear all,

Spring is here, not that the weather got the message, and we extend to you all the warmest Easter wishes. You’ve achieved so much in the last financial year and have all helped us live by our purpose of making every day matter, for our patients and their families, for our wider charity, for each of you and for each other.

You’ve all worked extremely hard and we very much appreciate your continuing commitment in whatever area of the charity you’re in.  I’m therefore delighted to announce that our Board of Trustees have agreed a cost of living pay award for 2024/25 of 4%.  This is against a background of 3.4% inflation this month (March) that’s expected to fall to 2% later this year.

We’re also immensely proud to be a Real Living Wage employer, supporting our one team, and will be honouring the real living wage increase of 10.2%.  Our commitment to this scheme means our base salary has now risen by 21% over the last two years; that’s over £4,000 for a full time employee. We’re very pleased to continue our commitment to pay the real living wage.     

If you have any questions please remember to speak to your Line Manager. Your individual pay letter will be sent to you early in the new financial year.  Enjoy the Easter period, with many thanks to those of you who’ll be working in our hospices and shops and at fundraising events over the holiday weekend.
